Cantabile 2’s main form of activity is Human-Specific Performing Arts. The gist, dramatical axis and prime mover of this type of theatre is the spectator (participant). It is with and through him/her that human-specific performing arts look for the truth about human nature and experience what’s universally human. By default, this form of theatre avoids fiction and invites the viewer to an intimate meeting with a live human being, to negotiate meanings and create the (theatrical) reality together with the artists. The presented performances and human-specific installations are created by Cantabile 2 artists and the theatre’s art director, Nullo Facchini.
Cantabile 2 organises WAVES Festival, one of the largest international festivals of performing arts in Denmark. The theatre is active in various parts of the world, with its permanent seat located in Vordingborg, Denmark.

Description of actions to be presented at NARRACJE Festival:

Chapters is Siri Facchini Haff’s performance for four participants (spectators) set in a secret location in the city. Together, they will look at their own lives and those of others, exploring the ways of interpreting and lending meaning to individual experience. Together, the participants (spectators), who do not know each other, will create the atmosphere of this meeting, engaging their curiosity and sharing an intimacy with each other.
Practical info:
The performance will take place every 30 minutes, from 6 until 11.30 p.m. (a total of 11 editions every night). Each edition is planned for 4 participants (spectators). The performance lasts 25 minutes and takes place in English. Participants meet 10 minutes before the beginning.

Temperature Regulation is a performative installation designed to facilitate a meeting between two strangers. In this meeting, the artist guides the spectator (participant) along different relationship scenarios. The participant is invited for a short trip towards intimacy and on the way they might discover how intimacy is built. The guide speaks two languages: Polish and sensory.
Practical info:
The performance will take place every 30 minutes, from 6 until 11.30 p.m. (a total of 11 editions every night). Each edition is planned for 1 spectator (participant). The performance lasts 15 minutes and takes place in Polish. Participants meet 10 minutes before the beginning.

Hidden locations:
Performances take place in ‘hidden locations,’ to which participants will be taken by the organisers. They will be informed about the meeting point and time during the registration process (participants meet 10 minutes before the beginning of the performance). Our ‘hidden locations’ are near the NARRACJE route, so taking part in Cantabile 2’s actions may easily be combined with visiting art installations.

Registration:
You should register through EVENEA.
